The Challenge
For Qatar National Day 2019, the Supreme Committee aimed to create an engaging family activation at Darb Al Saai that would attract thousands of daily visitors. The goal was to design and manage a 25m x 30m pavilion that offered a wide variety of digital, interactive, and physical entertainment for both children and adults. The challenge was to deliver a 12-day experience that balanced fun, culture, and operational excellence, while ensuring seamless crowd management, guest safety, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Our Approach
Together with our Doha-based sister company Hexagon WLL, we delivered a full-scale turnkey solution:
- Developed a radial pavilion layout with a central reception hub, giveaways, and an LED screen area, ensuring fluid visitor circulation.
- Designed and showcased Qatari stadium models alongside SC programme installations at the heart of the pavilion.
- Curated a wide range of family-friendly entertainment, including VR/AR experiences, digital and physical games, and creative workshops.
- Designed and managed a VIP Majlis lounge for dignitaries and invited guests.
- Executed full branding, decoration, and technical production of the pavilion.
- Delivered end-to-end operational planning including staffing, volunteers, risk and safety management, and waste management.
- Coordinated crowd management and guest engagement with tailored daily programmes and giveaways.
- Provided full photography and videography coverage of the build, activation, and guest experiences.

The Impact
The Darb Al Saai Family Pavilion became a centerpiece of Qatar National Day celebrations in 2019, welcoming thousands of visitors daily across 12 days. With its innovative design and diverse activity offering, it successfully delivered an immersive, safe, and memorable family experience. The project highlighted the strong collaboration between The Moments Entertainment and Hexagon WLL, reinforcing trust from one of Qatar’s most prestigious institutions.
